7TV Future Freedom Fighters

Myself and a few mates have been chatting about playing 7TV recently and that got me thinking about resurrecting a long dormant project of mine and finally getting it on the table.
a few years ago I started work on a small skirmish game based on a far future rebellion where a group of criminals got together under the leadership of a rebel commander and fought off the evil empire. Anyway that project got shelved due to one distraction or another and I moved on to other things, but now I fancy dusting it off and using the figures I have for a few 7TV games.
luckily Crooked Dice (who produce 7TV) have been releasing a load of programme guides for the figures in their ranges and one of these is centered around the Future Freedom Fighters range that I originally used, so I picked it up and here’s a run through of the contents
the Programme guide is a 36 page PDF which contains all the background you need plus scenarios and the character and gadget cards, its available here for £7, you can also get the 72 cards professionally printed out for £12 (this includes the PDF so its a bargain in my book)
I obviously did a pre-order for the cards and got a couple of badges chucked in as a thank you, here’s a breakdown of the cards
first up you get some vehicle and neutral cast member cards
then the ones for the evil Empire (the Federated Security force)
obviously we have to have the heroes
and then the Gadget cards
and my pre-order badges
I did start painting up some mini’s for this project and have enough of the Federated Security to play a good sized game, including a lovely transporter buggy I got from Dags at Ainstry
so all I need to do is paint up some Freedom Fighters, I think 7 will be enough to start
Oh! They’re back! I look forward to seeing your progress. Had any thoughts on terrain?
I have a load of Battlesystems sci-fi card terrain which is perfect for making bunkers or the insides of space ships so I’ll use that for now. although I might need to model a quarry to do this properly 😉
And you can use the quarry for Dr. who too. Even a pulp “Carry On!”
