Small Distractions

I was bored earlier and decided to sort out my gaming storage cupboard and during this long and arduous process  I pulled out a box that contains my beloved Epic Squat army.

this army was one of the smaller ones I did for Epic and is one of the 4 I have left in my possession (the others being Space Marines, Imperial Guard and Orcs) but it was the one I loved playing the most.

here’s a couple of pictures of the army to show the size of it

as I went through the units I decided that I should dig out the rest of unpainted Squat figures and maybe paint some up, you know just for old times sake. so I grabbed my little box of unpainted stuff and pulled out the squat bag and here’s what I found

its actually not that much and it probably wouldn’t take long to paint them all, but as my painting pile is pretty huge at the moment I was good and packed them all away for another day

well except for this one, which has been undercoated in the 2 hours since I took this picture and will be moved to the paint desk tomorrow

I believe the balloons are from Man of War as they are all I have left from my favorite force. They are now used as Ottoman Defense Ballons for Imperial Skies

      hi Jon

You are correct those balloons were made for the Man O’War Dwarves (I have a fleet myself) but the NetEpic rules includes them as Observation Balloons for squats so they’ve ended up in that lead pile as opposed to my MoW lead pile.

but once they are done I’ll use them in both games 🙂
