Deployment Points for Sharp Practice
Written by MikeH, February 5, 2017, 2 Comments
as I mentioned in my report on Crusade I picked up my latest painting commission from Gareth at ADC Painting last week and have slowly started basing them up.
First up was the 3 Deployment Points I had planned for the French army and for these I used a mix of Perry and Westfalian Miniatures so here they are
the first one uses miniatures from the Support Staff pack
the second uses the Mounted Infantry Colonels pack
the third one uses figures from Westfalia miniatures and shows a wounded Frenchman being carted off to hospital
Nice paint job, but it is the layout or composition of figures on the bases that tell the story and caught my attention.
The support staff vignette is my favourite – a look at an area of the battlefield rarely depicted that relays the disconnect of the command staff from the sharp end.
Well done on these!
Thanks for the comments Sean, I was unsure what to do for Deployment points for this army but as soon as I saw the figures on the Perry’s site I know they were perfect for my needs and as you say they work so well as a small vignette
